Over 600 attendees and 120 national and international speakers, the InnovaSummit 2022, the Corporate Venture Summit of Latam, who in its third version, manages to position itself as a great benchmark for innovation in our country.
For 2 days, August 25 and 26, different actors from the local and international ecosystem gathered, such as investors, businessmen and entrepreneurs, and large corporations, who were able to enjoy important content and connect with each other, generating synergies to continue developing Corporate Venturing. , Corporate Innovation and CVC in our country.
On the first day, we had talks by national and international speakers who shared their experiences in venture capital and success stories on different innovation management models in large companies. In addition, we had various discussion panels which allowed attendees to learn about the reality of different countries in terms of open innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as new strategies for organizations to get involved by investing directly in startups.
Among the international speakers, stands out José María Siota, Executive Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at IESE Business School, who tells us "It was a very productive meeting, relevant for Latin America and worldwide, it has helped us a lot to see what are the trends within Corporate Venturing and corporate innovation. There have been more than 120 speakers, with more than 500 attendees, which has been something really interesting and I have been left wanting to make connections and learn from everyone”.
Sebastián González, Hyspam Director Corporate Venturing, Wayra, tells us “The InnovaSummit is a very particular event, because it focuses mainly on an emerging phenomenon, such as Corporate Venture Capital. It is a very powerful instance, we missed the InnovaSummit after two years, we at Wayra have participated every year and we will continue to participate, so we are very happy that they have invited us”.
Magdalena Guzmán, Chilean Association of Venture Capital, tells us “The InnovaSummit is a tremendous instance due to the number of good speakers that are presented, it effectively brings together those who are doing the work of the Corporate Venture in Latam, so I think it is a tremendous opportunity to be able to meet again in person, above all, I think that there is no other event of this type in Latin America, therefore it is even more interesting”.
The second day we were able to delve into the development of five verticals in independent rooms on experiences and technologies applied to different industries with development potential, such as Agtech & Foodtech, Minetech, Customer Experience, Fintech/Insurtech and Energy and Sustainability, providing a global view of the latest trends in the sectors in terms of investment, digitization and incorporation of new technologies, sustainability and a vision of the future of the industries.
On the other hand, in the same verticals we were able to count on the presentation of 25 technological solutions, finalists of the launched open innovation challenges, who submitted to the evaluation of a demanding specialist jury, made up of sponsoring companies and international investment funds, the which defined a winner for each vertical: Chef Digitales, Chattigo, Fregata Space, Rokin and Mineral Forecast.
With this beautiful energy we say goodbye to this 3rd version, very happy with the result and the feedback received from speakers, attendees, corporations and different actors of the national and international innovation ecosystem.
